Whether you are eager to get in the studio or happy with the virtual class environment OR want the luxury of choosing from both - there are Iyengar Yoga classes available in Central Arkansas for everyone's preference!

Yoga Studio of Little Rock

Iyengar Immersion: Level 2

Saturdays 9 - 10:30 am 


This faster paced class is offered both online and in-person and is taught in rotation between CIYT's Martha Richardson & Joy Wasson.  This is a great option once a foundation in standing poses is established and for those who want to build on and deepen their practice of asana and pranayama.

Foundations and Alignment: Level 1/2

Thursdays 6:30 - 8:00 pm

This 1.5 hour Iyengar yoga class is centered around building the foundation of alignment in poses and preparing the mind and body for breath work and meditation.  Sirsasana (head balance) and sarvangasana (shoulder stand) are introduced and each class follows a different sequence and family of poses.

Iyengar 101: Level 2, 2+ 

A great choice for students looking to build a stronger foundation to their practice by focusing on body alignment.  In this class you will be doing a variety of poses that change from week to week including standings, abdominals, twists, gentle back bends, seated poses, and poses leading up to inversions.  You will find this class challenging but in a safe, slow and methodical way.

Cedar Rock Yoga is the birthplace of Iyengar Yoga in Arkansas and is a spacious studio in rural Conway offering in-person classes with limited capacity.  More info here.

Yoga @ Home (Online-only classes)

Chair Yoga & Meditation Summer Series: Level 0 - (June - August, 2021) every Friday @ noon, 1 hour 

Prolonged periods of stress can cause hypertension, muscle tightness, anxiety, depression, and other mental and physical problems.  This class will explore poses prescribed for these common ailments.  This is a great place for beginners and if you’re feeling overwhelmed, sluggish, or tense.  This is an online only "pay what you can" class where the pace will be slow and the poses will be restorative in nature.  Mindfulness meditation is introduced.  Free for frontline workers and law enforcement/security personnel.

Donations are gladly accepted and will go to help support yoga programming (& prop kits) for Hope Rises, a re-entry program for incarcerated women. Payments/donations can be made via Venmo (@JoyWasson), check (send email for mailing address), or on this website.  ​​

Yoga For Your Team

Connect with colleagues, teammates, support group members, or group of friends through the practice of yoga.


By bringing yoga directly to you, group sessions are uniquely tailored to the needs and schedule of your group making this a great option for sports teams, company programs/training, or rehabilitation groups.  The first session is $75 and pricing there after depends on frequency and number of students.  This is a great cost savings and a way to try this out for your group. 


Programs are outlined with the goals of the group in mind.  Example programs developed have been yoga for Crossfit gyms, youth or adult sports teams, company wellness and/or training programs, and drug rehabilitation programs.  Example areas of focus include addressing common injuries/ailments in sports, introduction to mindfulness and meditation, and/or practices suited for emotional stability and healing.

Private Session

A great option for those who might not feel comfortable starting in a class environment.  Private sessions can introduce you to basic yoga poses and how to use yoga props in a one on one setting. Similarly, this is a good option for those with acute or chronic injuries, ailments, or disease to learn what yoga sequences are suited for those conditions. All props and equipment are provided as well as a free 30 minute consult prior to the session.  Private sessions for two are also available!
